Sue gave a talk to Allestree Gardening Club on the topic of Creating a Chelsea Gold Medal Garden. This was based on recreating a Shetland Island crofters cottage and proved very popular with members. Anybody who recently visited or watched the BBC TV programmes on the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show will have seen that she got a gold medal for her High Maintenance Garden for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The theme was a loved space gradually being reclaimed by nature and the untended garden reflected the limitations of a person with motor neurone disease to maintain it.

With this talk Sue will impart hints and tips on garden design that members can apply to their own gardens.
